Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she took flute lessons and the harpsichord over three years. She survived on a student allowance and worked part-time to supplement her budget. Lennox wasn't satisfied with the level of her skills compared to others at the Royal Academy and began looking for alternative paths. Lennox played flute in the band Dragons Playground in 1976. But she quit prior to New Faces, the I.T.V. talent show. The singer was the primary voice for The Tourists a British pop band between 1977 and 1980. In this band, she met Dave Stewart who would later form Eurythmics. Lennox started working on her debut solo album Diva, which was released in 1992. The album was an enormous critical and commercial success. Nostalgia Lennoxs six solo album was released in the month of October 2014. was Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox picked her favorite blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four impromptu piano pieces was released by Lennox in May 2019. The E.P. The album is a companion to her Now I let you go... art installation that was exhibited at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. The album is her first self-released album.
