Maureen Denise McCormick is the younger daughter of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5, 1956, in Woodland Hills California. Her father was a schoolteacher and her mom was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin is her older brother. She has three siblings. McCormick began singing and dancing in her early years and often performed show-like puppets in front of children in her area. When she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 years old, Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see whether McCormick was interested in getting involved in the industry of entertainment. McCormick got her first big task when she was cast in the commercial for television that was broadcast in 1964 of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon she was given the main character in The Wind It up and It is Broken, a show at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 200 auditioned kids, played the older of three two-headed daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969) which starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The series lasted 5 years. McCormick's autobiography Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in the year 2008. She revealed in it the fact that McCormick nearly lost her virginity on set of the series during the fifth season when it was played by Barry Williams. She was 16 years old at the time while he was. It was a time that would have not been ideal for us, she informed me.
